Applications for admission to the Integrated Ph.D programme in Materials Science of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research are invited. Candidates will be selected through a written entrance test in the areas of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics followed by an oral examination, for those who are shortlisted. Students with Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science are eligible to apply. Those with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with an aptitude towards scientific research will also be considered. A minimum of 55% marks is one of the requirements. Candidates who are appearing for the final examination this year can also apply. Selected students will receive a fellowship of Rs 8000 per month initially and Rs 12000 per month as they continue for Ph.D at the Centre.
