For foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National Body constituted in the country concerned for granting equivalence will have to be produced.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th June, 2010. Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme. Compartment cases as on date of admission will not be considered for admission. In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 30th June, 2010, their admission will be cancelled and 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded. Non fulfillment of the above conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
ADMISSION TEST
All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.

- Integrated M.Tech - Ph.D. in Astronomical Instrumentation: IIA is happy to announce the launch of the Integrated M.Tech.- Ph.D (Tech) course in Astronomical Instrumentation in collaboration with Department of Applied optics and photonics, Calcutta University (CU). The Degree will be awarded by the University of Calcutta. The duration of M.Tech course work will be of 2 years divided into 4 semesters. After successful completion of the M. Tech course a student can opt for registration for Ph.D (Tech) programme at Calcutta University, subjected to a selection procedure and minimum cut-off grade. ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION
Engineering/Technology graduates in any branch with first class (relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST/PD candidates) and with valid CAT score (Common Admission Test). Admission is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview with appropriate weightage to CAT score. As per the Govt. of India rules, reservation of seats exists for SC/ST and PD candidates. In addition, reservation for OBC candidates belonging to Non-Creamy Layer is being implemented in the phased manner. SC/ST candidates are granted financial assistance as per the scheme of Govt. of India vide letters No. 11016/19/2005. SCD-I dated 21.06.2007 & No. 19012/36/05-Education dated 27.06.2007 subject to the satisfactory fulfillment of terms and conditions mentioned therein. Final Year Engineering/Technology candidates can also apply, provided they secure the qualifying degree with first class before June 20, 2010. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at NITIE, Mumbai.

Goa Institute of Management is Ranked among the top Twenty B-Schools in the country (CSR 2007, Outlook 2007) and among the top Three B-Schools in Western India (Deccan Herald Awards 2008).
ELIGIBILITY
Minimum 50% aggregate marks in a three-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) recognised by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE. Candidates who will complete all requirements for the degree by 12th June 2010 may also apply. If an applicant does not complete all the requirements of his degree by 12th June 2010, or does not obtain 50% aggregate marks in his degree, the offer of admission made to him will stand cancelled. The total number of seats is 120. The qualifying cutoff for each year is determined on the basis of the scores of the applicants to the Institute, in the entrance test in that year. For admission to the post graduate programme in business management 2009-2011, 93 were the qualifying percentile cutoff and the sectional cutoff being 60 (in each section). For admission to the post graduate programme in business management 2010-2012, only those candidates who register for the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT) 2010 of Xavier Labour Relations Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI) may apply for admission to GIM.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Candidates seeking admission to GIM are required to observe the following procedure:
Applicants to GIM are required to take the XLRI Admissions Test (XAT), which will be held on 3rd January 2010. Register for XAT at http://www.xlri.edu
Apply online on http://gim.sify.net/ Last date for online application is 2nd January 2010.
Candidates who have applied for admission to GIM will be shortlisted on the basis of their XAT scores. The shortlisted candidates will be called for face to face evaluation process for final selection in February/March 2010. (Interview centres – Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Panaji)
The final selection will be made tentatively in April 2010 on the basis of XAT scores (50% weightage), the candidate’s past academic performance (10% weightage), performance in face to face evaluation process (30 % weightage) and work experience (10% weightage), if any.
The academic session would begin in last week of June/first week of July 2010.
For further evaluation, the qualifying cut-off XAT score will be lowered by 15 points for candidates of Goan domicile/origin. Documentary evidence of domicile will have to be supplied along with the completed Application Form.
Instructions for PGPM Course Admission 2010-2012
- Step 1: Obtain a Demand Draft in favour of “Goa Institute of Management ” , payable at Panaji (or Panjim) for Rs. 1100/- for registration being done on or before 10 th December, 2009 and Rs. 1500/- for registration being done after 10 th December, 2009 OR Make cash payment to any of the following coaching institutes IMS Learning Resources/Career Launcher/T.I.M.E. and obtain a receipt of the payment done.
- Step 2: To apply to GIM Click GIM Registration Page, enter your XAT ID and password and fill in the online application form. Take a printout of the Payment Advice.
- Step 3: Send the print out of the Payment Advice along with Demand Draft/copy of coaching centre receipt(original) . to The Admissions Office,

Admissions Through CAT

TAPMI has adopted a two stage process for admitting candidates to the PGP. Valid CAT/ GMAT scores are mandatory pre-requisites to qualify for the admission process. Based on scores in CAT / GMAT and academic excellence, work experience, extra curriculars and clarity of purpose candidates are short-listed and invited to participate in the subsequent TAPMI Admissions Process (GD/PI) to be held at Bangalore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata and Manipal. CAT is used only for short-listing. IIMs have no role in the selection process or conduct of the PGDM programme. Final Selection will be based on performance in the TAPMI Admissions Process.
Eligibility
A three-year (10+2+3) University Degree in any discipline, recognised by the AIU as eligible for Post Graduation, with not less than 50% overall aggregate marks. This applies to also those with professional qualifications like Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accounting and Company Secretary. Candidates appearing for final year degree examination may also apply. However such candidates, if selected by TAPMI, are required to produce proof of completion of graduation by the time they join the PGP program and their passing certificates and testimonials within the stipulated date thereafter.
Fee
The current Academic Fee payable by admitted students for the 2-year PGDM programmes is Rs. 7,15,000/- inclusive of course material and academic resources. Hostel Fee is approximately Rs. 1,39,000/- for the two-year period. Monthly food bill is approximately Rs. 2,400/- per month.

Selection Process
Test score: CAT 2009 or XAT 2010 or GMAT (taken in 2009).
This year SPJIMR will have the interview process scheduled during January 2010 through March 2010. The minimum score required to get the final offer is 85 percentile in CAT2009/XAT2010 or a score of 680 in GMAT taken in 2009. Locations for the interview process will be announced in due course of time.
Fee Structure
Program fee for PGDM 2009-11 is Rs. 3.20 lacs for the first year and Rs. 3.10 lacs for the second year (exluding hostel fees of Rs. 35,000 per year ).

Eligibility
- PGPM/PGP-HR/PGP-IM: Minimum of 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE. Candidates completing all requirements, for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree by 30 June 2010 can also apply subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1 October 2010.
- NMP (EPGPM ): Minimum of 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities/ AICTE and minimum 5 years of post qualification executive (Class I or Officer Grade) work experience.
Admission Procedure
- MDI uses CAT for short listing candidates for all the above programmes. Candidate has to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by the IIMs from 28 November to 7 December 2009. The last date for obtaining CAT Voucher is 1 October, 2009.
- Foreign/NRI/PIO applicants can apply by submitting valid GMAT scores (taken not later than October 2009). NRI applicants residing in India during July-December 2009 will have to appear in CAT. GOI Rules will be followed related to admission of these categories of candidates.
- Final selection process will consider performance in the CAT / GMAT and subsequent Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
- Candidate must apply separately for NMP (EPGPM).
- IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
