By Post: Application forms can also be obtained by post from The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600025 by sending a requisition letter along with a demand draft for Rs. 700/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application forms is to be mailed.
Through Website: The candidates can also register through the internet by logging on to www.annauniv.edu/tnea2010 After entering the required information in the application form, press the submit button, then take a printout, affix a photograph and affix the signature at the appropriate spaces provided. The printout application along with the registration fee in the form of a DD only should be sent along with all the enclosures by Speed/Registered post to the address given below.
Special Reservations: Candidates seeking admission under special reservation category should enclose a separate special reservation application along with the main application togather with DD for Rs. 100/- for each special reservation with attested xerox copies of relevant documents. The application under Sports Quota along with main application should be submitted with all the documents only in person.

There will be no separate Entrance Examination for Admission to the above institutes and only candidates who have qualified in IIT-JEE 2010 Examination will be called for counselling in the month of July / August 2010. All Indian Nationals seeking admission to the above mentioned institutes have to fill up a separate application form issued by the Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Campus.

The National School of Drama, a central autonomous institution, fully funded by the Government of India, Ministry of Culture, invites applications for admission to its Three Year Diploma Course (full time - Residential) in Dramatic Arts. The course starts from july 2010 and aims at training students to become professionals in the area of acting, design and other theatre related disciplines.
Eligibility
Essential Qualification
- Graduation in any subject from a recognised University in India or Abroad.
- Participation in atleast 6 theatre productions.
- Working knowledge of Hindi & English.
- AGE LIMIT as on 1.7.2010, Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates only.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC: Out of 26 seats, 4 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled castes, 1. seat is reserved for scheduled tribes and 5 seats are reserved for OBC (Except Creamy Layer) as per the Govt. of India rules.
Selection
- An expert committee constituted by the school will assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates & its decision will be final. any CANVASSING in this regard will be treated as disqualification.
- Medium of Instruction: English / Hindi
- Centers for Preliminary Tests: A Preliminary test will be conducted at five centers 1.e. Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai & Guwahati. The candidates qualifying in this test will have to attend a workshop of 4-5 days in the School premises for their final selection for which they will be paid DA and II class train/bus fare from their place of residence to Delhi & back by the shortest route, on submission of ticket/cash receipt. Financial Assistance
- All selected candidates will be given a monthly scholarship of 30,000/- to meet their academic and other expenses.
Physical Fitness

Admission Procedure
Terms of Admission
Application for various courses are accepted during the following dates.
1) First Year B.F.A. (Applied Art): Within a period of 15 days, after the date of declaration of result of H.S.S.C. Examination of Maharashtra State.
2) M.F.A. (Applied Art): Within a period of 10 days, after the date of declaration of result of B.F.A. (Applied Art) Examination of University of Mumbai.
3) Apprentice Training Course (ATC): Within a period of 10 days, after the date of declaration of result of S.S.C. Examination of Maharashtra State.
The application forms duly filled will be accepted within 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon and 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. in the Institute office. Applications received after prescribed dates are not considered.
Candidates seeking admission for the First Year Course of the Degree of Fine Art (Applied Art):
i) Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination held at the end of XII Standard conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an Examination of another University or Board recognized as equivalent there to with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate.
(45% marks in the case of Backward Class candidate from Maharashtra State only.)
ii) Must have passed Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination of Directorate of Art, Maharashtra State.
(Except the candidates coming from the states other than Maharashtra and are eligible for Government of India reserve seats, so also students coming from other countries are exempted from passing the Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination and allowed to appear for Entrance Test for Applied Art.)
iii) Should pass an Entrance Aptitude Test conducted by the Institute and prescribed by the University of Mumbai.
To be eligible to appear for the Entrance Aptitude Test, Entrance test examination fees of Rs. 15/- (Rs. Fifteen only) is required to be paid at the time of submitting the admission form and obtain an official receipt of the same which is required to be produced at the time of Entrance Test Examination. The applicants sending the admission form by post should send a Demand Draft for Rs. 15/- (Rs. Fifteen only) alongwith admission form and a self addressed envelope with proper postage for reply of Entrance Test. The Demand Draft should be made payable to:

Candidate seeking admission to the Post Graduate Course of M.F.A.
(Applied Art):
i) Must have passed the Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Examination in the respective branch of this University or an examination of another University recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
ii) The admission to the course will be made purely on the merits of candidates at the qualifying examinations and on the performance of the candidate in an interview.
Candidate seeking admission to the Apprentice Training Course (ATC):
No educational qualification is prescribed in respect of candidates seeking admission to the Apprentice Training Course. However candidates having qualification of S.S.C. with Art or S.S.C. and Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination or having the Apprentice Training Certificate from the employer (Studios) will be given preference.
Candidates seeking admission for these courses are selected after an Entrance Test and an Interview.

The following are the states where Art Education facilities are available Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan.
Application forms of the students coming from above states are not considered for admission to B.F.A. (Applied Art) Degree Course in this Institute.
The students coming from other states where facilities of Art Education are not available, should submit a certificate to that effect from the competent authority such as Director of Education OR Secretary to Government, Education Department as the case may be, alongwith application form. Without such Certificate, application forms will not be entertained.
Documents required to be submitted alongwith application form for admission:
a) Applicants coming from the Maharashtra State and also other than Maharashtra are required to submit along with their application form, the attested copies of:
1) Marklist of H.S.S.C. Examination or its equivalent examination.
2) Passing Certificate of the same.
3) Jr. College / College Leaving Certificate/ Transfer Certificate OR No Objection Certificate form the College.
4) Caste Certificate (in case of Backward Class Candidate)
5) Caste Validity Certificate.
6) Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in case of O.B.C. Candidate.
7) Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination Certificate (Original or Provisional, issued only by the Directorate of Art, Maharashtra).
At the time of grant of admission, the above mentioned certificates in ORIGINAL are required to be submitted alongwith two attested copies and the required fees.
b) If admitted, the students coming from other than Maharashtra State and also students passing the H.S.S.C. or its equivalent Examination from the Boards other than Maharashtra OR students from other countries are required to produce the following certificates in ORIGINAL while paying the fees to secure admission.
1) Provisional Eligibility Certificate from University of Mumbai.
2) Migration Certificate.
3) Mark-list of H.S.S.C. Examination or its equivalent examination.
4) Passing Certificate of the same.
5) Jr. College/College leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate & Transcript. OR No Objection Certificate from the college.
6) Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination Certificate. (Original OR Provisional, issued only by the Directorate of Art, Maharashtra).
Hostel Accommodation
The male students of this Institute are admitted to The Sir J. J. Institute Hostel, Kalanagar, Bandra (East), Mumbai 400 051. Applicants who are in need of (if seats are available) hostel accommodation, should apply in the prescribed form after securing admission to this Institute.
The female students who are in need of hostel accommodation should apply to the Superintendent, Savitribai Phule Mahila Chhatralaya, Netaji Subhash Road, Mumbai 400 004, in the prescribed form, copy of which can be had from the office of the Superintendent of that hostel.

The Institute will remain closed on Saturdays and Holidays declared by Government.

- Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system. OR

Eligibility for Master Programme - Management M.F.M. (Master of Fashion Management)
- A three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or Diploma in Accessory / Fashion Design / FIT from NIFT only. For foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National Body constituted in the country concerned for granting equivalence will have to be produced.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTER PROGRAMME - TECHNOLOGY M.FTech. (Master of Fashion Technology)
- B.E. / B.Tech. (Textiles / Apparel / Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Electronics / Computer / Information Technology)
IMPORTANT NOTE
Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th June, 2010. Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme. Compartment cases as on date of admission will not be considered for admission. In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 30th June, 2010, their admission will be cancelled and 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded. Non fulfillment of the above conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.
ADMISSION TEST
All eligible candidates will have to appear for a written entrance examination at the Examination Centres opted by them. The written entrance examination is designed to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme opted.
